When and where is the Florida Behavioral Health Conference?

Save the date for August 19-21, 2020 in Orlando, Florida.  

Exhibitors will arrive on August 18 for display set-up. This year’s host hotel and conference center is located at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. The conference is hosted by The Florida Behavioral Health Association.

How do I register for the Conference?

What is the conference dress code?

Dress is business casual for daytime events. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a sweater for chilly meeting rooms.

What are workshops?

Workshops are educational sessions held August 19-21, 2020. Workshop attendance is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive early.

How can I pay for a group registration with a PO or check?

We recognize that group registrations may need to pay with a PO or Check.

 If you are not paying with a credit card please email registration@bhcon.org before you start the registration process to receive alternate instructions to process your registration order online.

How can I pay for a sponsorship or a booth by check?

We recognize that sponsors and some companies may wish to be billed and to pay with a Check.

If your company is not paying with a credit card please email rebecca@floridabha.org before you start the sponsor or exhibitor application process to receive alternate instructions to process your registration order online.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Yes. Online registrants will receive email confirmation via email.

How will I get my registration materials?

Registration materials will be available for pick up at the conference registration desks located in the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Conference Center.
Handouts are not provided in workshop rooms, but you can download materials after the conference concludes from our conference website or app.

What is your EXHIBITOR cancellation policy?

Requests for cancellations or reductions of sponsorship or exhibitor space must be emailed or faxed to the Florida Behavioral Health Conference to the attention of Rebecca Roberts.  You may also email rebecca@floridabha.org or call 850.878.6584 on or before July 26, 2019. All written and emailed requests must include company information and the name and phone number of a contact person to verify cancellation. An administrative fee of $100 will be deducted from all refund requests received by Friday, July 26, 2019. If the request is received after July 26, 2019, the sponsors, exhibitor, or advertiser is obligated to pay for the purchase in full.  No refunds will be given for cancellations or reductions of space received after Friday, July 26, 2019.

What is your REGISTRATION cancellation policy?

Requests for cancellations must be emailed the Florida Behavioral Health Conference at registration@bhcon.org or 850.878.2196. A service fee of $25 will be deducted from all refund requests received by Friday, July 26, 2019. Registrants who do not cancel by Friday, July 26, 2019 and do not attend will be responsible for the full registration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Friday, July 26, 2019.

What is your substitution policy?

Registrants unable to attend the conference may send an alternate. Substitution can be made online until 12pm on August 13, 2019. To make a substitution refer to edit registration info link at the bottom of your confirmation email.

Onsite substitutions can be made but could be subject to a service fee of $20 for each substitution. Participant or organization will be responsible for the fee.

  

Can I get Continuing Education Unit credits (CEUs) at your conference?

CEUs will be available for the conference. CEUs hours are offered through the following authorities:

 

Florida Behavioral Health Association (FBHA) is a board-approved provider

(CE Provider # 50-676) for:

Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling

Florida Board of Nursing Contact Hours

 

(CE Provider # 50-1836) for:

Board of Psychology

Florida Certification Board, noted as FCB, (#A-001)

  

How many credits will I receive if I attend your conference?

Specific hours awarded will depend on the certificate type you request and whether the sessions you attend are approved for the type of continuing education you seek. There is an opportunity to earn up to 16 CEUs.

 

Is there an additional fee for CEU?

No, CEUs are included in your conference registration.



When will I receive my CEUs?

You can expect to receive your CEUs certificate by Oct. 1, 2019.

What is the official hotel of the conference?

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek & Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

The conference center is connected between the Hilton & Waldorf.

  

Is there a charge to park for conference?

Attendees staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando (the official conference hotels) self-parking is included in your stay. Drive in attendees will have a $7 per day charge for parking.
