The Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA), in collaboration with the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) and the Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP) invites you to attend the All in For Florida: Hospital Intervention Summit to be held on August 14 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida.

This summit is organized by the All in for Florida: The ER Intervention Project. This project seeks to develop processes and relationships between hospitals and community service providers that will enable hospitals to provide a robust referral to treatment and other services through a person-to-person link (warm handoff) for individuals accessing emergency departments because of an opioid overdose. The project will identify best practices for integrating behavioral health care with emergency departments and develop tools or processes to be used around the state by practitioners to create a bridge between emergency departments and community treatment agencies.

This one-day summit is developed specifically for hospital administrators, emergency room physicians, and community providers to engage in a state-wide effort toward true integration of Florida’s hospitals with community providers. The summit includes presentations on recent changes to Florida’s laws, current integration efforts around the state, and a forum to discuss the succesess and challenges of this effort. An important objective of the summit is to allow participants to walk away with a plan of action to improve systems of care for individuals with an opioid use disorder.

The cost to attend the pre-conference summit is $45.

Lunch is provided.

Dress is business casual

Made possible through the Aetna Foundation.

FADAA and its partners will continue to work with hospitals after the summit to provide targeted training and technical assistance on best practices and initiate collaborations in your community.
