When and where is the Florida Behavioral Health Conference?

Save the dates for August 15-17, 2018 in Orlando, Florida.  Exhibitors will arrive on August 14 for display set-up. This year’s host hotel and conference center is located at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. The conference is co-hosted by The Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association and the Florida Council for Community Mental Health, in collaboration with the Florida Hospital Association.

How do I register for the Conference?

Conference registration is scheduled to open by the end of March 2018 on this site.

How can I pay for a group registration with a PO or check?

We recognize that group registrations may need to pay with a PO or Check.

 If you are not paying with a credit card please email registration@bhcon.org before you start the registration process to receive alternate instructions to process your registration order online.

 

How can I pay for a sponsorship or a booth by check?

We recognize that sponsors and some companies may wish to be billed and to pay with a Check.

If your company is not paying with a credit card please email rroberts@bhcon.org before you start the sponsor or exhibitor application process to receive alternate instructions to process your registration order online.

 

What does my Conference registration include?

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Yes. Online registrants will receive email confirmation via email.

How will I get my registration materials?

Registration materials will be available for pick up at the conference registration desks located in the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Conference Center.
Handouts are not provided in workshop rooms, but you can download materials after the conference concludes from our conference website or app.

What is the conference dress code?

Dress is business casual for daytime events. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a sweater for chilly meeting rooms.

What is your EXHIBITOR cancellation policy?

Requests for cancellations or reductions of sponsorship or exhibitor space must be emailed or faxed to the Florida Behavioral Health Conference to the attention of Rebecca Roberts.  You may also email rroberts@bhcon.org or call 850.878.6584 on or before July 15, 2018. All written and emailed requests must include company information and the name and phone number of a contact person to verify cancellation. An administrative fee of $100 will be deducted from all refund requests received by Friday, July 15, 2018. If the request is received after July 15, 2018, the sponsors, exhibitor, or advertiser is obligated to pay for the purchase in full.  No refunds will be given for cancellations or reductions of space received after Friday, July 15, 2018.

 

What is your REGISTRATION cancellation policy?

Requests for cancellations must be emailed or faxed to the Florida Behavioral Health Conference at registration@bhcon.org or 850.878.6584. A service fee of $35 will be deducted from all refund requests received by Friday, July 13, 2018. Registrants who do not cancel by Friday, July 13, 2018 and do not attend will be responsible for the full registration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Friday, July 13, 2018.

Registrants unable to attend the conference may send an alternate. Substitution requests must be emailed or faxed to the 2018 Florida Behavioral Health Conference at registration@bhcon.org or 850.878.6584. A service fee of $20 will be charged for each substitution. Faxed substitutions must be received by August 10 by 12pm. Participant or organization will be responsible for the fee.

 

Are there scholarships available?

Although scholarships are not available at this time, we welcome your interest in Volunteering. Contact chyden@bhcon.org for more information.

 

What are workshops?

Workshops are 1.5 hour sessions held August 15-16. Workshop attendance is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive early.

Can I get Continuing Education Unit credits (CEUs) at your conference?

CEUs/Contact Hours will be available for the conference. CEUs and Contact hours are offered through the following authorities:

How many credits will I receive if I attend your conference?

Specific hours awarded will depend on the certificate type you request and whether the sessions you attend are approved for the type of continuing education you seek. There is an opportunity to earn up to 15 CEU.

Is there an additional fee for CEUs?

No, CEUs are included in your conference registration.
